Veiled Existence is an esoteric, drone-based, and meditative collaboration between Dan Dolby (Veiled, Catalfaque, The Atrocity Circus, MASTIFF) and existent/nonexistent (existent/nonexistent, The Atrocity Circus, The Infinite Wipes).
The project began with a simple but challenging concept: each artist sent five original sounds to the other. Those sounds became the foundation of the compositions. They could be processed and transformed in any way, but no additional material was allowed—except for three personal sounds each, used only to complete the final pieces.
The result is All the Quiet Hurts — a deeply personal and immersive work inspired by the mental health struggles, resilience, and growth both artists experience in their daily lives.
This release is also a reminder that no one should feel ashamed for facing mental health challenges. If you’re struggling, reaching out to a trusted friend, family member, or professional can make a real difference.
Difficult moments do not have to be the end of the story. Sometimes, they can be the beginning of a path you never knew you were meant to follow.
A portion of CD sales will be donated to a local organisation supporting mental health initiatives.
Stay strong. Live with compassion—for yourself and for others.
